Creepiest Vocaloid Songs

As a special Halloween bonus I decided to compile a list of the creepiest Vocaloid songs I could find. This is of course my opinion so please do keep that in mind. Enjoy!

1 Circle You Circle You- Luka Megurine and Hatsune Miku.

At first this song seems to be about a group of children playing Kagome Kagome. Of course that game isn’t disturbing enough on its own so the Vocaloids have to take it a step further. It’s about children who were experimented on by a mad man who was seeking immortality, in doing so he tore these children apart. In their vengeance they killed him in a game of Kagome Kagome. They’re still ‘living’ in the lab, ‘even if your heads crushed or you lose a limb these children will not die….’

2 Wide Knowledge Of The Late Night Madness- Hatsune Miku

This is a shiver inducing song. It’s about a mental ward where they are killing one person a night to feed “Pochii” in this case Pochii is the madman KAITO. What makes this song truly creepy though isn’t the cannibalism but that she can’t wait for her turn to die. The continued chant of watashi at the end is bone chilling.

3 Evil Food Eater Conchita- Meiko, Rin Kagamine, Len Kagamine

If there’s one author who excels above all others in creeping me out it’s Mothy. Conchita is about an extremely gluttonous woman as played by Meiko! She is a woman who wants to experience every flavor in the world. When normal food would no longer suffice she began to eat people, the music video does put a comedy twist in it though with the on screen menus. “Eating up all of every single thing to the bone, if that’s not satiating then I’ll eat another.”

4 Onii Yuukai- Hatsune Miku, Luka Megurine, Rin Kagamine, and KAITO

In general I don’t imagine that Onii Yuukai would register on many people’s lists of most creeptastic songs given that this is my opinion though….. The three girls singing the song are desperately in love with their big brother KAITO and are willing to do anything for his affection. So they deliberate and abduct him to keep around for fun. KAITO actually screams in the song which is an awesome touch. But hey who’s gonna notice he’s gone anyway?

5 Paranoid Doll- Kamui Gakupo

This is a song of absolute hopelessness. Gaku’s voice is particularly haunting in this song, it’s filled with emotion and echoes with despair. I get the impression that he either killed himself or was already dead at the start of the song. “Like a butterfly caught in the palm of a hand, flying is impossible.”

6 Slendy’s Watching Me- Oliver

The first Oliver song I ever listened to sent shivers down my spine. This song is from the perspective of a small child that has a man with no face watching over him. Strangely no one else can see this man. “I don’t know when I’ll be home, but I don’t feel to bad, but I wonder why mommy and daddy look so sad.” The myth surrounding the Slenderman is one of madness, stalking, hunting, and a terrifying demise. And its all brought to you from with the melody of a nursery rhyme.

7 Monochrome Dream Eater Baku- Len Kagamine

This one is a little bit odd, it’s not sung strange, nor is the PV creepy, no it’s the ending to this song that earns it a spot on this list. Baku agrees to help a girl with her dreams. Taking away her nightmares and offering her sweet stories and naughty dreams instead. At the end though he reveals the price which is ‘the vivid dreams behind your eyes’. Thus leaving her with nothing but reality since she can no longer dream.

8 KAITO Ga Uninstall- KAITO

KAITO Ga Uninstall is a song about a truly obsessed character. That character is of course in this case KAITO.He’s jealous of the ‘master’ bringing home other vocaloids, so in a fit of jealousy he kills the others and kneels before his master covered in blood. The final words of the song being “I love you.” just add a little to the creepy feel.

9 Red Bottom Swamp- Hatsune Miku

Like Gakupo’s Paranoid Doll, Red Bottom Swamp is a song about the after effects of death, but instead of wandering in misery for all eternity this song paints a picture of Hell. This is the last piece of the Black Woods Circus arc and it doesn’t disappoint. “Springing up are coral reefs of needles, this place where light can’t reach.”

10 Moonlit Bear- Hatsune Miku and KAITO

Mothy, Mothy, Mothy oh the author thought he’d catch me off guard again, but this time I was well versed in his tricks. In this song Miku runs through the woods a bear close behind her since she’s stolen its two precious treasures, two red fruit. When she reaches her home her husband KAITO is waiting for her, he looks at the bundle in her arms and says “look dear our child is not in this world anymore, please return these babies to where their real mother is.” Of course the mother is the now deceased ‘bear’ Meiko.

11 Dark Woods Circus- Hatsune Miku, Rin Kagamine, Len Kagamine

Is probably the most blunt song on this list, it doesn’t even make an attempt to hide its true intentions from the beginning. It’s about circus freaks, if you’ve watched ‘Wide Knowledge of the Late Night Madness’ this is a sequel video to it. So yeah you can finally find out what happened to the victims, though clearly Pochii eating up everything was a lie. “Children that God has abandoned, restlessly creeping out, Children who can’t even carry the trembling limbs they were born with.”

12 Ant Observation- Rin Kagamine

Ant Observation is from the POV of Rin as she is watching ants scurrying around one day. As the song progresses she talks about a little boy who killed ants cruelly, and how in the middle of the night the ants came and drank his blood, ate his meat, and cut him into pieces. Creepy, but not as creepy as the voice Rin sings it in.

13 Calalini- Yuki Kai

Jani Schofield is a seven-year old girl who was diagnosed with a severe case is schizophrenia, the song Calalini is about her. She wants to know why the things only she can see are hurting her and why they want her to hurt others. “On the border of insanity, I can’t make the screaming stop I have to keep scratching. Its my world of personal agony.” I think the terrifying thing about this song is it’s about a very real little girl with a very serious problem.

14 Fear Garden- Rin Kagamine

Fear Garden has Rin killing everyone she knows. The reason being that she wants a garden of hands in her back yard. I get the impression from the line “the index and middle finger entwined” that she’s killing them because of broken trust. The end of the song is pretty awesome, especially if your watching the most popular pv….poor Len.

15 Bacterial Contamination- Hatsune Miku

Not only is this song sung creepy but the pv is terrifying. Especially the eyes, god the eyes are scary. So is the screaming silver Miku……In the end the bacteria kills everyone and none are left alive, “but even if I jumped to my death I still can’t die a pleasant death” this set of lyrics leads me to believe that the virus kept her alive alone. That sucks. Above and beyond all that though give it a watch. The song is cool and creepy and the video is a freaking trip.

And as an added bonus that isn’t really creepy but fun…

16 Creepy Toast- Luka Megurine

Creepy Toast by Luka is about a piece of toast that for no apparent reason whatsoever has grown eyes and is laying menacingly on her kitchen counter. It wants to steal her soul it says….It also kind of looks like Big Al which in and of itself is mildly creepy.

About Tekizen

I am a thirty five year old fujoshi. I adore Aniplex and Capcom both to a near criminal degree. I love cosplaying. Some of my favorites to date are Miles Edgeworth and Chrollo Lucifer. I am also currently working on Varuna. My absolute favorite genre is mystery. I LOVE a good mystery. I have a varying degree of fandoms. I love a lot of different anime, but I can honestly say I love old school american cartoons just the same. My favorite book is The Bacta War in the Star Wars X Wing novel series. I finally beat the Demi-Fiend! He was freaking hard!. I think that's all for now though.

Not bad, not bad. I just have a few little…nitpicks, if you will.
    1) “Wide Knowledge of the Late, Madness” has nothing to do with “Dark Woods Circus” However, some fans interpret it that way by comparing KAITO’s roles in them. Easy mistake.
    2) “Bacterial Contamination”, when not taken literally, is about a bullied child taking out their pain on someone else and then killing themselves when realizing what they’ve done. Hate, then, becomes the true disease.

    Okay, now some recommendations:
Okaasan (sometimes called “Mother” but never “Dear Mother”)
    50/50
Hide And Seek Alone (read up on Hitori Kakurenbo, if you want to fully understand)
Gomen ne, Gomen ne (also called “I’m Sorry, I’m Sorry” or something like that. Heartbreaking!)
    Beheading Dance
Ward Room 305 and In A Rainy Town Balloons Dance With Devils (Now *these* songs *are* related.)

You could be talking about the Bad End Night series. Although there is no vampires, Miku does find herself in a house in the middle of the woods, and she does go on a killing spree.
