So unable to get any answers (shockingly) from Harley the party returns to their own base. And boy are they in for a surprise.
It probably isn’t something I should admire anywhere nearly as strong as I do, but I love how sweeping the landscapes are in this game and yet the colour choices are so amazingly simple. Take for instance the base of the Embryon which is done in nothing more then shades of grey.
Our ‘heroes’ return, not exactly in the best shape. Small diminutive little Serph is carrying Argilla since Heat can’t be bothered with it.
And then wham bam thank you ma’am out of seemingly nowhere we see a monster that seems to be clad in lettuce leaves. That’s really weird Atlus…
And Cielo running away from it firing as many shots at it as he can.
Which it is expertly dodging by doing everything from climbing up the walls to crouching down and lunging.
Cielo, Heat did you guys notice by any chance that Gale’s head is split in half? Also it comes as no surprise that Spock would be the first one to try to eat all of his friends.
But I mean seriously his skull has teeth going down the middle of it. Which honestly raises a few biology questions…….Like where is his brain located now that his head is mostly maw?
Oh Heat who doesn’t?
Shit on a stick now Argilla is starting to react to. I would highly recommend to Serph putting her down since her two main weapons are pressed against his back right now….That wold be a very embarrassing way to die.
And as people are glowing all over the place with all these fancy colours that they can’t be used to seeing in bulk like this, a girl appears in the doorway.
Yep you guessed it, it’s nekkid crater girl.
Who is brave enough to put her hand anywhere near Gale’s head right now.
For that matter he seems to have gone completely lax allowing for her to cradle him. Awkward.
Heat voices the question on everyone’s minds.
And there’s nothing in the world quite like getting an extremely vague answer in return. A song, what kind of song, why was it able to calm Gale? Why do you know it, who are you?
But Heat’s still hung upon on what a song is….
As Gale transforms back in a slight moment of being almost vaguely human he asks the strange girl who she is.
Oh yeah help everyone with your magical ‘song’….
Another novel question, people don’t exist outside of the junkyard, so where did she come from, what tribe does she belong to.
Everyone in the junkyard, or everyone in Embryon. Try being a little more specific please.
And back in the bat cave.
It’s probably going to be a longwinded story…
But before we can get into any of that we have Argilla defending that she knows that song from somewhere.
In typical Gale fashion though he disacknowledges what he doesn’t understand.
Probably the smartest thing anyone in this game has said so far.
Not that any of you were very normal to begin with.
And this is where you came in ladies and gentlemen. In stories like this there’s always at least one person who doesn’t care about possible consequences and what not, power is cool, we have power, we are cool.
He’s pretty damn blunt about the whole thing honestly.
Argilla seems pretty upset about this, not that anyone could blame her, especially after seeing Gale trying to eat Cielo. I think that’s on that ‘this changes things’ list.
And it won’t be resolved this week, but next week we’ll head on over to Karma tower and see what the peeps in charge have to say.
