I think it’s fairly safe to say at this point that Phat Company has no intention of releasing their rendition of Okita Sawa, fortunately Wave is always there to lend a helping hand with their Beach Queens line. I really love these figures, they are generally cute, well sculpted, and priced appropriately for their scale. Right well moving along let’s take a look at the third of the lovely girls from Tari Tari.
Our cute little lady here has two different hairstyles to choose from, the first being the cute pigtails look. I love me some pigtails. Her hair does a nice job of framing her face. Her eyes are a nice shade of dark purple, and I love the overall happy look on her face that is very nicely accentuated by a faint blush on her cheeks.
Her swimsuit straps are sculpted up off of her body, not only is it a very nice effect for the suit itself, but it does wonderful things for her boobies too! she’s running along the beach in a manner that would normally be accompanied by being chased by a puppy or tripping over a can of mikan (bonus points if you get that joke), anyway because of the motion of the figure her melons are caught in mid bounce. I’ve never had a figure with this effect before. The paint job on her bikini top looks great too, the flower design is mega cute. Also because of the way her ample bosom is positioned the bikini top is riding up on her breasts slightly.
She is a very thin girl, you can see the outline of her ribs, she has a very nice figure a great hourglass. Strangely enough whereas she does have a great stomach she does not have a visible belly button.
Back to that in motion thing again, this girl is kind of like poetry. Her skirt is blown up a bit, the folds look really nice. The trim on the top piece is done in a nice off white, the bottom skirt is white with blue shading between the ruffles. It looks very nice.
She has very nice sizable thighs, but not much going on for muscle definition. She doesn’t have noodle legs either though so it’s cool.
Her feet are fantabulous, truly I mean that. Her ankles are bent at opposing angles. but both look really natural. Her toenails have light gloss on them that looks pretty nice.
Her arms are thin and not very muscular, they still look nice though. This hand her fingers are curled in against her palm in a loose fist. Her nails have a nice light pink polish.
This hand is more open then the other one, though the fingers do still curl somewhat. It looks nice. I think this girl is really strangely shaped. I don’t understand how you can have abs like that with arms like these.
Her profile however is ridiculous. There’s no curve between her nose and mouth, so her lips don’t go out at all. Awkward. The spot where her bikini top meets breast looks a little sloppy. The boob to armpit transition looks pretty nice though.
The white trim on this side of her skirt is a little sloppy.
Her legs look almost a little too fat. I think they should go in a little bit more at the back of the knee. Her calves are a lot more proportionate to her body, I like her ankle a lot the delicate curve up front looks nice and the achilles heel looks great.
The raised strap even bunches up a little bit with the bouncing of her breasts. It’s a very nice effect.
Her little skirt has one white button. I really wish they would have made the skirt castoffable just because they went to the trouble of making it a separate piece.
Yet again I stress that her only leg definition is at her knees and ankles.
The back of her hair shows nice pull towards her pigtails. Okita’s back is gorgeous, her shoulder blades have very nice definition and her spine is really well done.
The back of her skirt is just long enough to not cover up her swimsuit bottom. Her butt does have nice definition, each cheek is sculpted rather well.
Her legs have fairly nice indentation at the back of her knees which is kind of nice. Her feet are really flat though.
Her alternate hairstyle, mentioned approximately 22 pictures ago, is a side ponytail. With this hair do she has one butterfly clip in her hair. The hair separated is nice strands so it kind of flows a little bit. I like that.
Her base is a standard Beach Queen sandy hexagon. It looks nice but really isn’t special.
Her box is white with a large picture window, the writing is a nice green gradient and looks fabulous.
The back of the box shows Sawa in both her different hairstyles.
Overall Okita is probably the most average BQ to date that I’ve seen. She’s cute but nothing to write home to mom about. However she is worth it if for no other reason then to have a complete set with the ever amazing Konatsu and the cutie pie Wakana.
