Megaten Monday Persona 2 Eternal Punishment Part 3

This Monday brings us to the Kuzunoha Detective Agency for a whole buttload of answers and a few new questions.

This week opens with the party going into Kuzunoha Detective Agency where Tammy (formerly Tamaki) gives her standard greeting about what they do at this particular business.

This is very similar to what Todoroki said to the IS cast, except now there’s the inclusion of Tatsuya having had come here.

Katsuya takes up the conversation and begins questioning just what this kid, this boy that visited the Agency was like.

The description given fits the ‘Deja Vu Boy’ perfectly. It still isn’t enough though for Katsuya to be able to put two and to together to realize that it’s his brother that everyone is talking about.

So with that the party fills Todoroki in on what’s happened so far. He’s actually pretty easy to convince of all that’s happened so far. For that matter he puts all the pieces together himself as o why everything actually makes sense.

So we can now turn rumors into reality. Exciting isn’t it? Last time we did this it got really fun spreading rumors of all kinds just for our own benefit.

Ulala is convinced that this guy has to think they’re crazy. I can’t blame her really, I’d think they were nuts.

Common sense,  it really holds a lot of people down. You didn’t see Mark Twain, Wlliam Shakespeare, or Benjamin Franklin being held down by common sense.

Your brother dipwad.

Theoretically if we find the source of the rumors then we might be able to find ‘Deja Vu Boy’  even though he made it very clear that he does not want to be found.

So ‘Baofu’  has a webpage that showcases rumors. That’s amazingly handy. I wish I’d had one of those back in IS that would have come in really handy.

So Maya hops on the computer and into Baofu’s chat room. She then fills him in on what’s going on. He’s a lot less believing then Todoroki was that’s for sure.

Baofu then demands a meeting between himself and the party. They’ll meet at 2X Slash.

If you stop and talk to Tammy she’ll mention that she knew nine persona users in high school. You’ll meet most of them throughout the course of this game.

So much for a face to face meeting.  It looks like Maya’s getting shoved onto another computer for the purpose of talking to Boafu.

Ooh Persona resonance, he knew right from the get go that all three people were persona users. So that means he’s either inside this building or right outside it. Nice.

Of course Katsuya senses Baofu too….now that it’s been pointed out to him. This guys really slow, it’s starting to make sense why he can’t recognize a description of his own little brother.

The camera shifts around to reveal a tall man sitting at another one of the computer monitors. This is of course Baofu.

So after relocating….again. The group fully fills Boafu in…..again.

So the Joker rumor was mentioned on TV, people went crazy and ran with it. That’s pretty interesting, and a great way for the villains to make that particular rumor catch fire really fast.

Because there’s an exception to every rule.

Tatsuya Sudou’s dad. There’s a real shocker. Just remember “My dad did this to me.” That quote speaks volumes don’t you think.

Well at least Katsuya can recognize him…..

Wire taps are illegal, very illegal. But so are Sudou’s cultist schemes, how many murders has Joker committed? Those are all on the Sudou family’s hands.

Of course that case would have been a lot more personal if they hadn’t changed the timeline in IS. Had that change not occurred Maya would have been trapped in the Alaya Shrine while it was on fire, Tatsuya Suou would have been stabbed by the younger Sudou, and all the events therein would have led to Jun’s madness.

Ulala is finally on the same page as the rest of the cast.

And Baofu has officially joined the party!

Not a bad deal at all really. The party gets an actual experienced persona user in there midst and Baofu gets more info. Whether it’s for his website or for some deeper as of yet unmentioned purpose. I bet there’s a deeper meaning, there always is.

Definitely a deeper meaning. You don’t just say things like that.

If rumors are really becoming reality right?

Yes! Baofu’s officially making me my first weapon store! I like him already.

You believe in Personas and Joker, but not in rumors….well I guess it is a little farfetched.

Anything, anything at all? Can I have a tank please?

This is a fact, as long as Maya is in possession of the Sevens emblem then Joker can’t come after her. However as long as she has it, she’ll also never know who tried to kill her either. It’s a two way street.

He might as well have added to the end of it “and you’ll never have answers.”

Because he wanted you to be safe I think is the obvious answer.

So the next thing we see is a cinema of the four of them sitting at the restaurant table. We also see Maya holding the Sevens emblem.

Maya makes her choice quite evident as she lights the emblem on fire.

So we find that Tatsuya Sudou is being held at the local sanitarium.

Baofu actually does the party the personal favor of mentioning the Velvet room for the first time. Joy.

Our main man Igor is waiting there. He’s been waiting all along naturally.

We’ll leave off with this inauspicious meeting for this week. We got some answers we’ve been waiting for this week. Next week we’ll hit that sanitarium and see if we can confront Sudou himself.
