I’ve been meaning to post a review of this little guy for a while now, but something else kept coming up that was just so much more interesting. Well I’ve got a few hours left before work today so I’m just going to give him to you nice and quick. This is a puzzle figure made by Ensky. It’s one of the Airou’s from Monster Hunter. Let’s check him out.
The rest of his head follows really easy once you have the face done. I know I just compared him with Poogie in the paragraph above this one but this one also doesn’t look as clean as the other one did either. Airou is all rough edges and it’s because there are larger expanses of skin on the back of his head. Because of poogie’s stripes that one didn’t have this problem either. It’s a little sad.
The body pieces are also really easy. Especially since we already have the head done which is most of the figure.
There are five little holes protruding from the figure two for the arms, two for the legs, and one in the back for his tail. Well so far so good and we are almost done!
As you can see his tail connects at the middle of the bottom piece. So now the last thing to do is connect his head and his base and see how it looks overall!
Alright I’ll admit I think it’s pretty cute overall. I don’t think I’ll be taking him outside for photo shoots like Poogie, but he’s definitely a few pieces that I’m pleased to have in my collection. Overall a decent representation of Monster Hunter’s Airous. However he isn’t much of a challenge to put together if that’s what you are interested in.
His box is very bright and vibrant and shows what the toy will look like. It also shows the cartoon version of the Airou down near the bottom of the box. The puzzle does look just like him.
