I spend an awful lot of time thinking about, and wishing for more Kagamine figures. These two characters have such a diverse amount untapped figure potential, it a shame that there aren’t more variations of them. Sega had been making these little diorama style figures featuring Vocaloids from specific MVs. I as so excited when they announced one of both twins together.
This particular figure is based on of the song “Sand Scraper”. You can watch it here if you would like. Poor Len looks so lost, almost hopelessly so. Never fear though, Rin is lurking in the background. Then again, maybe that is a reason to fear. I love these two a lot. Their paint is great, and Len is perfect from his ahoge, right down to his tiny feet.
Rin looks decent, but since she isn’t the focal point of the figure she isn’t very detailed. I am glad that she is here though. She looks mischievous!
The back of the figures aren’t very detailed either. Len’s sweater looks good all the way around. His ponytale is awesome. There is a tiny stick that pokes into his back. This gives him extra support, since he is just standing on one teeny tiny foot.
The base is a black square that matches my previous “Daughter of Evil” Rin vignette. The diorama background features a train, and a city skyline. The city’s red, and black colouring is pretty neat. The sticker on the front has the song, and author information listed on it.
The box is blue, and polka-dotted. The sides feature cartoon images of the different figures in this series. The front has a large window that continues on the top. They are easy to see without removing them from their packaging. These really are great, especially if you dig the songs!
Overall Enjoyment: 9/10
