Satonaka Chie is your average energetic crazy high school girl, well assuming your average school girl can travel through tvs, can kick your face in, and summon a monster to fight on her behlaf…That’s pretty normal right? So does Chie’s figma adaptation pack a punch like she herself does? Let’s see…
Her eyes are a nice shade of brown and her lips are surprisingly full. They are a light natural shade of pink. Her jacket was recreated faithfully, the paint on it looks very good. Even on the three little buttons pinned to it.
Her skirt is rather well done too, the pattern on it should be familiar to fans of the game almost every party member has it on their person somewhere. Max Factory was also obliging enough to put a slit in each side of the skirt to allow for higher kicking action.
Her socks bunch up at the bottom which is a really cute touch. Her shoes have little x’s stitched on them which always looks good on these guys. I have no idea why the soles of her shoes are brown and not black however.
Her back shows the necessary seam lines for her to be able to twist and turn the way she does.
Even with her leg raised as high as it is for this shot the slit still blends in fairly well.
Her yelling face looks awesome. Her eyebrows are slanted downward to show her blatant displeasure. Her mouth is also pretty impressive as it actually shows both her top and bottom teeth. Very Nice.
Rather than just put a notch in Chie’s normal bangs to slip the glasses into, they gave us an entirely separate bangs piece. In case of breakage she also comes with an extra set of glasses. And yes for her flash kick that is indeed speed lines they included….
She comes with a hand specifically for holding the glasses as well.
The last face they give you is for shadow Chie. Instead of chocolate-brown eyes, this face has yellow eyes and heavily shadowed features. The smile across its face looks plain cruel. It’s a neat option, but I love Chie too much to keep it on her for long.
Lastly there are the gag glasses provided by Teddy. Their sole purpose is to make Yukiko laugh.
Seriously kudos to Max Factory, this girl can perform an amazing kick.
Overall Chie is severely lacking in accessories that could have made it infinitely more fun for people. A bowl of Nikudon, a dvd, a card, or her cell phone all would have been nicer touches than wasting plastic on an extra set of bangs. She does look good though and she has some of the best joints I’ve seen on a figma in a while. If you’re an accessory hunter look elsewhere, if you want a crazy girl kicking your other action figures, then she’s right up your alley.
