Kobato Hasegawa is the cute little sister of Kodaka Hasegawa, your main guy from Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai. She is kind of what would happen if you pumped Ruri Gokou full of energy. I absolutely love her, so when I received this little mispick from HobbyLinkJapan I decided to notify them of their mistake, but keep her regardless, since she was the same price as the figure I had attempted to buy.
Sega put out this set of Boku wa Tomodachi prize figures, not to long ago. I was a bit surprised that my first figure from the franchise was this pint-sized villainess, but I like her so no harm, no foul. Her quality is ok. The sculpt of her bangs is amusing. They have no rounded edges. It is as if the pvc was rolled flat like dough, and cut into this shape. Her face is very round, which looks alright in this super-deformed state, but it could be a bit more defined around her nose, and cheeks. Her two toned eyes are perfect. They did a great job with her eye application.
The dress has some sloppy paint around the top. It is most noticeable around the straps, and ribbons. Her fat, little fists also have very little defining details. Each finger is separated by a little carved line. Her hands, as well as the plush bunny have some scary seamlines.
The back of her hair covers most of her dress, so there isn’t much to see there. The colours of her creepy bunny are good. The stitching is also very clear. Her stockings, and shoes are painted pretty bad. The design seems accurate to her characters look, but the paint makes it look shoddy.
Her base is a hexagon shape, which displays the title of her show. It is simple, and quite effective. She fits on it tightly, so she won’t fall off.
Kobato’s box is a pretty pink, with tiny polka dots. The front has a picture of her on it. The back shows the copyright info. The sides are simply polka-dotted. Inside she fits into blister packing for safe storing.
Overall Enjoyment: 6/10
