The Conan petit nendo was a welcome announcement. Of all the characters that are getting a new life pumped into their toys, Conan is by far my most cherished. I hope there are many more to come.
The Conan petit is cute, almost too cute. His eyes are huge, and googly looking. His glasses look nice, the black outline is really smooth. I find that he looks a bit too cute. I know he is a chibi in all, but this figure doesn’t really carry the emotional weight that Jimmy Kudo would carry.
Conan’s hair is a nice shade of dark brown, with some light brown highlighting to his bang. His little ahoge is perfect, and the telltale sign that this is indeed Conan.
The back of his head has the same light brown shading. They also have his little fin down near his neck. The stripe on Conan’s shirt are even, and crisp. The back of his shirt has his name on it, as well as the number 10. Or 100 if you read the hole as another 0.
The shorts he is wearing are pretty bad. The white seeps onto his legs. His shirt is nicely tucked in. The front of his shirt has a little box, but for whatever reason there is nothing written in it. His socks also look a little bad down near his tiny shoes. The soccer ball looks really good from a distance, but up close the blue lines don’t sit within the lines sculpted into the ball.
His shoes look ok, but the top of them blends into his socks. The bottom half of this figure could have been done a little better. His hands look chunky. There is little definition on his hands at all.
Conan comes in a simple box, wrapped in plastic with the manga! The plastic inside keeps him safe.
Overall this is a really cute chibi, but don’t break off his ahoge, or he will completely lose his identity.
Another decent Conan figure.
If you are a nendo collector, another great piece.
Doesn’t look like the character.
Lower half could have used some more attention.
Overall Enjoyment: 7/10
