After yesterday’s offering of the rather uninspired Kyousuke Kousaka, the only proper follow-up is a review of the lively and inspired Kirino Kousaka!
What initially caught my eye about this figure is her pose. Kirino excitedly runs ahead to join her friends at the comic convention. Her clothes move around her as if caught in motion.
Her Skirt billows back, and twists as she runs. Her sweater has folds around her waist where she is turning, and her hair is blowing back as well. The way this figure is sculpted it is almost as if she could keep moving naturally.
Her necklace also moves with her. (A word of advice, her necklace comes unattached, so be very careful when detaching her head. Her sunglasses are super cute, and transparent, but not very durable. Be careful.) Her purse also comes unattached, but the shoulder strap slides easily over her shoulder.
A bit more detail here on her hand. Her nails are painted clearly, with a light pink polish, which makes her fingers look really nice. She also has the hair scrunchy around her wrist, which is a cute touch.
There are no noticeable paint smudges, and no unsightly seems. All the paint is within the lines. Everything on this figure is smooth, and clean. A very nice offering from Kotobukiya.
Her face is super cute. I think her eyes may be too far apart, but her expression is nice. I love her fang!
Her base has a cute art image depicting the scene from which the figure is based on. The image is removable, but looks really cute in its little frame. The clear piece lifts up, and the picture sits right under it. Super simple.
Kirino’s box is pretty standard. It’s cute, has lots of windows, and really colorful artwork.
If you are a fan of Ore Imo, or Kirino this figure is highly recommended. She looks great. The biggest flaw I can find is that she is pointedly looking down, so a high, or eye level shelf is a must for her.
